Pete’s park lessons · Lesson 13 of 15

Seller Financing an RV Park, in Plain English

  • Seller financing means you carry part of the price as a loan and get paid over time. In plain English, you become the bank.
  • Know your three paths: cash, hybrid (some cash now, a note for the rest), or full seller carry.
  • Check your own mortgage for a due-on-sale clause and a prepayment penalty.
  • Screen the buyer like a banker: proof of funds, track record, and a plan for the park.
  • Have an attorney draft the note and deed of trust with clear default terms, and talk to your CPA before you sign.
