Pete’s park lessons · Lesson 4 of 15
RV Park Electrical: What a Buyer’s Electrician Finds at Your Pedestals
- Make an amp map: one sheet listing every site’s amp rating, the branch that feeds it, metered or not, and transient or monthly.
- Run a Saturday-night load test on a hot, full weekend: voltage at the nearest and farthest pedestal on each loop, with the date and temperature written down.
- Melt marks and scorched covers get photographed first. Don’t paint over them; get a licensed electrician’s phased plan instead.
- Fix the worst loop first, with permits, and keep the next-phase bid in your folder so it reads as a known line item.
